Federal Pell Grant
Student must:
- Have financial need.
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Not already have a bachelor's or higher degree (unless enrolled in a post-bachelor's teacher certificate program).
Award:
- Up to $5,350 per year.
Application:
Academic Competitiveness Grant
Student must:
- Have financial need.
- Be receiving a Pell Grant.
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Be a full-time freshman or sophomore in college.
- Have been enrolled in a rigorous high school program if a freshman.
- Have at least a 3.0 GPA if a sophomore.
- Not already have a bachelor's or higher degree.
Award:
- Up to $750 per year for freshmen.
- Up to $1,300 per year for sophomores.
Application:
SMART Grant
Student must:
- Have financial need.
- Be receiving a Pell Grant.
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Be in the third or fourth year in college.
- Be enrolled full-time in a four-year degree-granting college.
- Be majoring in certain areas of math, science or foreign language.
- Have at least a 3.0 GPA in his or her major.
Award:
- Up to $4,000 per year.
Application:
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Student must:
- Have exceptional financial need.
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Not already have a bachelor's or higher degree.
Award:
- Up to $4,000 per year.
